This notice explains what information HotelPilot (“we”) collects when you visit hotelpilotiq.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website and our live demo at demo.hotelpilotiq.com. It does not cover the HotelPilot product used by our customers, which is governed by their agreements with us.

What we collect

• Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: the pages you view, the links and buttons you click (for example, booking a walkthrough or opening the demo), whether you play our video, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location (city or region). Google Analytics does not give us your name or contact details.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our web server records each request it receives: your IP address, browser, the page requested, the referring page and the time. We use these logs to keep the site secure and working, and to count visits. They are kept for a limited time.
• Information you send us. If you email us, for example to book a walkthrough, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
• The live demo. If you start the demo, we ask for your name, email, phone number and company, and we record how you use the demo. You agree to this on the demo’s sign-up form, which explains it.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_Q3LC5SJY5M) to tell visits apart and recognize return visits. They last up to two years. The site itself does not use advertising cookies.

How we use information

• To understand which pages and materials are useful, and improve the site.
• To respond to your requests, including walkthroughs and demo follow-up.
• To keep the site secure.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Who else receives it

Google, which provides Google Analytics, processes analytics data on our behalf (see how Google uses information from sites that use its services). Our hosting provider runs the servers that store the logs. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Your choices

• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
• You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
